preventing disease
transforming communities
Drawing on a decade of on-the-ground experience, NALA works hand-in-hand with communities, using innovative strategies, to prevent diseases of poverty. Supporting communities to thrive more than simply survive.
The Challenge
Neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), otherwise known as diseases of poverty, impact over 1 billion people globally, and can lead to blindness, malnutrition, and disability amongst the world’s poorest people, with women and children most at risk. These diseases are preventable, and we are closer to elimination than ever before.

The Solution
Through the development of novel and cost-effective interventions, NALA works to break the chain of transmission by mobilizing the community to be the architects of their own health.
About NALA
NALA has worked for over a decade with governments, communities, and schools to reach the goal of elimination. Using a unique and holistic approach that targets the root causes of disease, NALA has made strides in the field of NTDs, and is recognized globally as a leader of innovative change.
The Tools
We believe in open source materials because diseases know no borders. If one community suffers, then others will not be able to thrive. Find our materials on NTD prevention for governments, communities, schools, and water access here.
