Harnessing over a decade of experience on the ground, NALA uses innovative strategies to work together with communities to prevent diseases of poverty, supporting them to thrive more than simply survive.
NALA has worked for over a decade with governments, communities, and schools to reach the goal of disease elimination. Using a unique and holistic approach that targets the root causes of disease, NALA has made strides in the field of NTDs, and is recognized globally as a leader of innovative change.
Neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), otherwise known as diseases of poverty, can lead to blindness, malnutrition, and disability amongst the world’s poorest people, with women and children most at risk. These diseases are preventable, and we are closer to elimination than ever before.
Through simple, innovative, and cost-effective interventions, NALA works to break the chain of transmission by mobilizing the community to be the architects of their own health.

We believe in open source materials because diseases know no borders. If one community suffers, then others will not be able to thrive. Find our materials on NTD prevention for governments, communities, schools, and water access here.
