NALA has worked for over a decade with governments, communities, and schools to reach the goal of disease elimination. The Need
Neglected tropical diseases (NTDs), otherwise known as diseases of poverty, can lead to blindness, malnutrition, and disability amongst the world’s poorest people, with women and children most at risk. These diseases are preventable, and we are closer to elimination than ever before.
The Solution
Through simple, innovative, and cost-effective interventions, NALA works to break the chain of transmission by mobilizing the community to be the architects of their own health.
